Tremella
In this soap there is fresh tremella, which contains a valuable skincare nutrient known as the plant hyaluronic acid (HA), as one of ingredients. In order to extract the essence of the tremella, it was shredded into small pieces and boil it with spring water. After hours of boiling, the shredded tremella melts and is blended into a jelly-like solution.
Water retention and moisturizing：
The high levels of hydroxyl and carboxyl in tremella’s polysaccharide molecules give it a unique capability to retain water in skin cells and keep our skin silky smooth.
Anti-oxidizing:
Tremella mannosan is a potent antioxidant, which can improve our skin’s immunity and vitality.
Anti-aging:
The Arabic gum in tremella may be used to moisturize skin cuticles and thus leads to an anti-aging effect.
Annatto Seed Powder
Annatto seed powder is a proven anti-oxidant and is able to protect our skin against free radicals. It also works exceptionally well against pimples and skin infections due to its ability to suppress bacterial growths. Once added into our soap mixture, it appears as an orange-red color.
In an international research, annatto seed extract was discovered to effectively inhibit the growths of bacillus cereus, clostridium perfringens and staphylococcus aureus. In a separate research, annatto seed extract’s anti-oxidizing property was revealed. It was found that annatto seed can protect our skin from harmful UV rays, superoxide, and DNA mutations caused by peroxide. This makes annatto seed a popular skincare ingredient.
When we add finely grinded annatto seed powder into our soaps, not only can we benefit from its anti-oxidizing qualities, it can also give our soap a naturally bright and eye-catching color.
